First off let me start by saying, "That the guy who said that angles r dead people and cherubs r dead babies had me laughing my ***-off and I am still laughing so that's why its taking me so long to type!"

Cherubs are also angles we just think of them as being babies because that's probably what comes to mind when we think of love… 'Cause unless u have no feeling at all how could a person not love a sweet innocent baby?… And besides, babies are easier to love than most ppl unless ur crazy or unfeeling!:)

And we think of Angels as all the ppl that we love who have passed on and I do believe that at time those ppl just happen to be baby angels a.k.a (cherubs)!

There is a heirarchy of angels. Cherubim are one of the classes. "Cherubs" are romanticized representations of the innocence of angels.

cherub is a type of Angel
It's like a person in the Army (cherub) is part of the Military (Angel).

There are also other types of Angels:
    seraphim, cherubim.

"Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew" . Isaiah 6:2

"So He drove out the man; and placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life". Gen. 3:24

The name cherub (cherubim plural) denotes the power of knowing and beholding God. Their receptivity to the most high gift of light. Their contemplation of the beauty of the divinity in its first manifestation. They are filled by participation and divine wisdom and bounteously outpour to those below them from their own fountain of wisdom.

A Cherubim is a type of angel, the highest type. The Seraphim comes second.
